Dia de muertos - a music & dance fiesta

Come join us for a lively and heartfelt celebration of the traditional Día de Muertos, featuring Julie Gallego’s Viva Folklorico Dance Company and their acclaimed rendition of Día de Los Muertos dances from various regions of Mexico, all performed in stunning, vibrant glow-in-the-dark costumes. Mariachi Sonido de México will fill the Placita, located next to St. Augustine Cathedral, with the rich and festive sounds of authentic mariachi music. Additionally, Tucson artist Guadalupe de la Torre has created a beautiful and meaningful altar that will enhance the visual experience. This in-person event promises to be a memorable and unique celebration like no other!
Christmas at the Cathedral - Tucson Girls Chorus & Tucson Boys Chorus

Experience an enchanting evening of traditional Advent and Christmas music featuring the Tucson Girls Chorus, directed by Nicky Manlove, and the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, led by Jordan Rakita. Their harmonious voices will fill the cathedral's rich, reverberant acoustics with sublime holiday splendor.
Audiences are warmly invited to join in for three popular sing-along songs (lyrics will be provided).

A guitar duo formed by Micaela Núñez and Salma Gómez. The ensemble explores Latin American music through the sublime fusion of regional folklore and the classical guitar, all while performing in an intimate setting illuminated by soft candlelight.
